Never underestimate the power of small gatherings to change things

Never underestimate the power of small gatherings to change things

Most mornings I go for a swim in the sea with a mate.

For almost a year we have been kicking around his well-being idea.

I genuinely think it is brilliant.

He mentioned this week that he might have found someone to help him launch it.

They met 3 years ago at one of my events in my cowshed.

I always say to people at events that you are here for capabilities, but the reason you will stay is for the community.

At the time, they don’t get it.

Over time, they do.

Community is where the true magic lies.

In early September, I am doing the first live masterclass event for over 2 years.

It will only be 20 people over 3 days. And nights.

Together we will talk about writing, strategy and ideas.

And, if I do my job well, they will leave with improved capabilities.

But i know the real magic is elsewhere.

It is in the conversations had over dinner each evening.

And where they will lead.
