The story of the man who turned the internet off

A while back, I visited a local independent garden centre.

I got talking to Geffen, the owner.

He told me he stopped selling online.

Just like that, he had had enough.

He was refunding anyone who had recently purchased from him.

His reason was he wanted to give great advice and service, and he could only be cheaper online.

Not better.

So, he decided he would only serve a 25-mile radius.

Because machines need servicing. They need repairing.

That was where he could be world-class.

And he has never looked back.
