Bamboo does something that most fast-growing trees don’t. It doesn’t grow.

Year 1 - no growth above the soil.

Year 2 - ditto

Year 3 - ditto.

Year 4 - ditto.

Then in year 5, it must have had a triple espresso or something, because then it goes. Like really goes. The Chinese Bamboo tree grows 80 feet in just six weeks.

Those early years look like nothing is happening.

But it is putting down roots.

The roots that will support that rapid growth.

Hmmm.

I see brands that want insane growth but haven’t taken the time to put the roots down.

All their effort goes above the soil.

And none below it.

You know how that ends.
